Getting Started: Import Accounts

Use the "Import Accounts" wizard if you use one or more of the following email clients:

  • Outlook Express
  • Mozilla (suite or Thunderbird)
  • Netscape Mail
  • Eudora

Access the Import Accounts wizard by pressing the "Add..." button (on the left side of the main POP Peeper dialog), and then choosing the "Import Accounts" option.

The Listing will contain all the accounts that POP Peeper was able to locate. Accounts will be imported from: Outlook Express, Mozilla, Netscape (4.79, 6+), and Eudora. If you use one of these email clients, and your account was not listed, use the "Advanced" button.

  • Find -- The Find button will update the list. Use this after changing any "Advanced" options.
  • Advanced -- The Advanced button allows you to change the directory that POP Peeper will look for the account data for each email account (note: Outlook Express stores its information in the registry, so is not included in the advanced options). Use the "Find" button after changing advanced options to update the listing.

If an account has the status "Password Required", it means that no password has been assigned to the account. Double-click on an account to modify any of the settings, including the password (password information can not be imported from the email clients for security reasons).

Check any accounts that you want to add, and press the finish button.
